City Council approved a professional services contract for a Wastewater Treatment Facility Master Plan to Donohue & Associates for $374,515, plus a 5% contingency.

The total not-to-exceed amount for the wastewater master planning work is $393,241.

Council also approved an $8,000 contract amendment to McMahon for the Water Treatment Facility Bulk Hypochlorite Tank Replacement Project, bringing the total contract to $37,000.

Both items were unanimously passed as part of the council's consolidated balance of the agenda on May 20, 2026.

In addition to the wastewater planning contract, the council approved a contract amendment related to immediate water treatment infrastructure needs. Engineering firm McMahon was awarded an additional $8,000 for design and construction management services on the city's Water Treatment Facility Bulk Hypochlorite Tank Replacement Project. This amendment increases McMahon's total contract value for the project from $29,000 to $37,000. The council also authorized an intermunicipal agreement between the City of Appleton and the neighboring Town of Grand Chute concerning the Veterans Memorial Park South Pond, further addressing regional water management coordination. All utility and finance items were adopted unanimously by the 12 attending alderpersons.
