The board also reviewed authorizations for the use of project contingency funds, changes to interceptor calibration procedures, and a pending contract agreement with Torus. In addition to contract approvals, the board received updates on several major ongoing wastewater construction projects. These included the Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) Basins Construction Project, the Thickening and Straining Building Construction Project, and the Dewatering Building Upgrade Construction Project. Facility improvements also extend to the replacement of covers for Digesters 1, 2, and 5, alongside general site restoration work. Further strategic planning items on the agenda included an update on land application site options and potential real estate transactions, including a closed session regarding the sale or lease of property and a specific real estate sales contract for Tempo Road.
