While the on-site diesel storage is limited to 48 hours to prevent fuel degradation, the district maintains priority fuel delivery contracts to sustain operations beyond that window if necessary. Staff noted that state and federal environmental regulators do not factor cost into the compliance requirements. The board approved a $106.4 million work authorization for Archer Western Construction for Phase II of the Rowlett Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Peak Flow Management Improvements. This package includes junction box improvements, train blowers, and electrical upgrades to handle anticipated loading demands at the facility.
