The Metro Council approved an ordinance to accept and appropriate settlement funds from Tyco Fire Products LP and Chemguard, Inc. to Metro Water Services.

Permanent and temporary easements were authorized for the Nolensville Trunk Sewer Project to secure necessary land in Brentwood.

The council approved the abandonment and relocation of sanitary sewer force mains across 18 properties for the Oracle Force Main Relocation project.

The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County has formally appropriated new settlement funds directed at its water utility, Metro Water Services. During its June 2, 2026, meeting, the Metro Council approved an ordinance accepting Public Water System Settlement Funds from Tyco Fire Products LP and Chemguard, Inc. The ordinance (BL2026-1376), sponsored by Council Members Toombs and Evans-Segall, was passed unanimously via the council's consent calendar without public debate. The funds will be directly appropriated to the Metropolitan Department of Water and Sewerage Services. In addition to the settlement appropriation, the council used the consent agenda to advance several key wastewater capital projects. The council approved the acquisition of permanent and temporary easements for the Nolensville Trunk Sewer Project (BL2026-1372), securing necessary property rights for sites located on Nolensville Road and Rocky Fork Road in Brentwood, Tennessee. Furthermore, the council authorized the abandonment of existing public sanitary sewer force mains and easements to make way for new infrastructure. The project, officially designated as the Oracle Force Main Relocation (BL2026-1385), involves accepting new sanitary sewer force mains and easements across 18 properties located on Cowan Street, Waterside Drive, River North Boulevard, and surrounding areas. Several other routine water and sewer infrastructure acceptances were also approved for local developments, including the 3rd and Madison Townhomes and the Kings Lane SP development, clearing the way for continued municipal network expansion.
