The second amended agreement adds $197,338 to Jacobs Engineering Group's contract.

The total agreement value is now capped at $6,161,272.

Reno's share is $4,228,480.97, financed from the Sewer Fund.

Councilmember Kathleen Taylor disclosed that Jacobs was a former client of her consulting firm and did not participate or vote; the item was approved unanimously by the remaining voting members.

Reno City Council has approved a $197,338 increase to Jacobs Engineering Group's contract for design and construction-manager-at-risk support services on the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility Dewatering Building Project. The second amendment takes the agreement to a not-to-exceed value of $6,161,272. Reno's share is $4,228,480.97 and will be paid from the Sewer Fund. The approval came through the council's consent agenda on 23 September. Councilmember Kathleen Taylor pulled the item to disclose that Jacobs Engineering Group had previously been a client of her consulting firm, TaylorMade Solutions, and could reasonably be a client again. Taylor said she would not participate in or vote on the matter; the remaining council members approved the amendment unanimously. The agenda described Jacobs' role as providing design and construction-manager-at-risk support for the dewatering building project at the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility. No further project scope, delivery schedule or construction cost information was discussed during the meeting. The decision adds to Reno's continuing Sewer Fund commitments at the regional wastewater facility, while preserving engineering and construction-management support under the Jacobs agreement.
