During its August 13, 2026, meeting, the Minneapolis City Council approved a $2,984,589 contract with Visu-Sewer, Inc. for the city's Large Diameter Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Lining 2026 project. Visu-Sewer secured the project after submitting the low bid for Event 4146. The contract covers all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals required for the large-diameter sewer rehabilitation work. The measure was brought forward by the Climate and Infrastructure Committee, presented by Vice Chair Soren Stevenson, and formally adopted by the full council. In a separate action addressing private wastewater infrastructure, the council authorized city staff to negotiate a no-cost contract with Oncourse Home Solutions. The agreement will establish a sewer lateral insurance program aimed at city residential property owners, providing a mechanism to help manage the financial risks associated with private sewer line repairs.
