During its September 2, 2026 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners unanimously advanced a series of water and wastewater infrastructure contracts totaling over $2.1 million. The approvals were passed without debate during the business portion of the meeting. The largest water-related expenditure was a $1,454,580 Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Fulton County and the City of Roswell. The funds are designated for water main betterments and relocations associated with road improvements on Riverside Road, specifically between Riviera Road and the Dogwood Road intersection. The motion passed 6-0. The board also approved a second IGA for water main relocations, allocating an estimated $284,800 for work in the City of Milton. This project will relocate infrastructure along State Route 372/Crabapple Road and Green Road to accommodate the Crabapple Multiuse Trail Connection improvements. In addition to capital projects, the county increased its spending authority for operational services. The board approved a $441,034 increase for water meter reading services provided by Waco, Texas-based Texas Meter & Device Company. The authorization is effective through the end of 2026. Finally, commissioners authorized a $245,000 contract renewal with IDEXX Distribution Inc. to supply Colilert reagents. The contract, which passed 5-0, provides chemicals for drinking water and treated wastewater analysis utilizing existing county-owned laboratory equipment.
